Attorney Michael J. Pike Speaks to the Children of Home Safe
West Palm Beach, FL - On August 17, Michael J. Pike, of Burman, Critton, Luttier & Coleman, was asked to speak with at risk teenagers living at Home Safe in Riviera Beach about the benefits of completing high school, going to college, as well as other various legal topics. These at risk teenagers have been deemed adults by the state of Florida. Highlighting his past-life experiences, Mr. Pike had their attention almost instantly. As part of their legal week at Home Safe, he discussed the differences between criminal and civil law, which included several questions concerning personal injuries. He also conducted a question/answer forum where the kids could freely ask questions including what it takes to become a lawyer.
Home Safe is a nationally accredited, non-profit organization that has been serving abused and neglected children in Florida from newborn to age 18 since 1979.
